Boyne City is a small town on the edge of Lake Charlevoix in Charlevoix County, Michigan.It used to be the county seat but since 1895 that has been at Charlevoix, on the other sideof the lake. Boyne City is known for the National Mushroom Festival, which is held in the spring of each year. It is also near the Boyne Mountain ski resort.
