RCMP Police Certificate

Getting this certificate can be a bit tricky. The certificate HAS to be from the RCMP and not the provincial police. However, not all RCMP posts issue these certificates.

When it came time for James to get the RCMP certificate I called the 1-800 number that I found at a website (which I can't find) and they gave me the address of the nearest place that issue the certificates.

At the time we were in Newmarket and they told us to go to a place called Core II Security Inc. at 121 Richmond St. West in Toronto. When we were there the guy told us that they would be moving the next week to 15 Toronto St. (Toronto St. runs between King and Adelaide). He was a really nice old guy who chatted about his wife the whole time.

James had to show his passport and his drivers license and signed the form/certificate. It cost us $21 and $1 of that was for him to mail it to us so we didn't have to drive downtown again. That was on a Tuesday, May 7, 2002 and we got the certificate in the mail the following Monday.

Make sure you tell them that you need an RCMP Police Certificate with NO FINGERPRINTS, and that you need it for the K-1 Visa.

God Bless America!
