This Travelodge is about 20-50 minutes away from the Consulate, depending on how bad traffic is. Here are some specs:
The rooms are fairly nice. If you get room 210, ask for another. This is the room we got, but we didn't complain. Its right above the roof of the main porch, and the light that shines on the flags stays on ALL night and can keep you up ALL night if you're a light sleeper. It's also facing the highway so it was noisy. If you get a room facing the highway, I recommend that you ask for one that's not. Also, all the other rooms except for room 210 have balconies. You can make a reservation toll free at 1-800-461-4537 Their website is http://www.travelodgemontreal.com/ |

Getting to the Travelodge: We took the 401 all the way to Quebec. Highway 401 turns into 20 at the Ontario/Quebec border. Get off 20 at Exit 54 or 56 I can't remember, but the sign will say Boul. Fenelon and some other street names. When you take this exit, right away you're on Herron Rd., which is the road that the Travelodge is on. *Watch out for the stop sign that's at the Herron Rd. and Boul. Fenelon intersection. It's almost right after you get off Hwy 20* After you go through that intersection you'll see the Travelodge on the right side. There's a Harvey's, a bank, a grocery store and a few other stores in the plaza right next to the hotel. |
